The First Dual Language Two Way Immersion School in the United States

Florida is home to the first dual language, two-way immersion bilingual education program in the US.

Coral Way Elementary opened its doors on September 3, 1963, providing academic instruction in Spanish and English to Spanish-dominant and English-dominant students.

Coral Way, now a K-8 center, has consistently been an "A" rated school. Students leave Coral Way fully bilingual and biliterate.
